INTRODUCTION

The “Resources Book” that we are presenting is one of the final products of the PSYCHO_RESCUE project ((Psychiatric RESidential care Communities: Upgrading and Enhancing skills and competencies for operators professional qualification”). The project involves 9 agencies working in the field of Mental Health in 6 different EU countries: Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Scotland, The Netherlands, and is promoted by the “Leonardo Da Vinci Programme”, a European Union programme which supports the development and improvement of vocational training in Europe. The aims of the “Leonardo Da Vinci programme” are the realisation and implementation of a vocational training policy in the European Union. This will be achieved through the integration of working practices of member states and by promoting a new approach in vocational training policies through the acquisition of lifelong skills and competencies.
